This was a great school when I went there, but that was over 20 years ago. It's too bad to see that the recent reviews are pretty poor.
I was a student of Burroughs from 1974 to 1976. Can't say a lot about the Administrators during that time period, but the teachers were great! I hope all of us who attended Eugene Burroughs Junior High both past and present are during well. THE EAGLES RULE!!!!!
I went to school there in 1972 and no one there had any respect for anyone. Only thing I remember was waiting for lunch to go smoke. Thank you for allowing me to kill my lungs.

I attended Burroughs from 1977 to 1980. Back then it was a nightmare. The administrators were petty tyrants who seemed to get off on threatening, insulting, and demeaning students. Fights among students were ubiquitous, and teachers sometimes even encouraged them! A particular drafting teacher allowed students to go at it bare knuckled right in the classroom! He would watch in amusement until one of their faces was thoroughly bloodied before stopping it and taking the injured party to the nurse. Looking back at it I can hardly believe such things occurred in the 20th century, but I remember them quite vividly.
